Applying for Benefits
Before applying for benefits, you should attend a Pre-Retirement Seminar. If you cannot attend in person, you can view the recording of the
previous seminar
to learn more about your pension benefit options, retiree health benefits, coordination with Medicare, withdrawal options under the Supplemental Retirement Plan and more. Then:
Request an application from the Retirement Benefits Department, and
Review the application with your spouse (if married), and
Request a meeting
with a Retirement Benefits Representative to help you through the process and
answer your questions, and
Send your completed application and necessary documents to the Fund Office
no later than 90 days before your intended retirement date, and
Sit back, relax, and get ready to retire!
