Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan

Health / Retiree Health Benefits

Blue Cross Group Medicare Advantage Open Access (PPO)

A top priority for the Board of Trustees is making sure our Retirees and their eligible family members are offered quality, affordable healthcare. To that end, the Board of Trustees of the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council Health Fund has made the decision to change the Retiree Health Benefit offerings. After a detailed analysis of healthcare options for our Medicare-eligible Retirees, we are improving coverage by moving to a BlueCross and BlueShield of Illinois (BCBSIL) Group Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Open Access (PPO) plan, also called a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan. This will take effect January 1, 2024.

Prescription drug coverage will be included in your MAPD coverage. You can access the formulary here or through MyPrime.com. Please note, this formulary is subject to change.

If you have any questions about the new coverage, please contact the dedicated BCBSIL Member Support line at (855) 824-7313, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm local time. If you have premium-related questions, please contact the MACRC Fund Office at (312) 787-9455 Option 4.
